Whooping Crane Festival

There is an annual Whooping Crane Festival in Port Aransas, Texas every February. It's too cold for the Sand Castle Festival, I suppose. It's a weekend full of presentations and wandering around looking for whooping cranes. We will be taking boat rides, visiting a couple of nature reserves and hopefully, finding some seafood (just like the whooping cranes.) I haven't been to Port Aransas since I was in college, so it will be interesting to see if anything comes back to me. We may have to rent a golf cart, since that is a standard mode of transportation on the island.
