Marfa Lights

The Marfa Lights are just outside Marfa, Texas - there actually is an observation area on Highway 90 outside of town. They have been reported since the late 1800s. They were not visible the night we were there. Someone who had been there multiple times said you never see them your first time. Even if you don't see the lights (there's one photo I could swear were them), the stars are amazing.
