We've sailed the Caribbean, Alaska and the Mexican Riviera. We've crossed the Atlantic. We've been all over the US on random trips. We've even driven from Dallas to New Jersey (and back) multiple times, since my mother-in-law wouldn't fly. Then, as the pandemic lifted, we realized the one place we hadn't really seen was ... Texas, our home State.
So, we're wandering Texas, to see what there is to see. As most know, there is a lot to see in Texas.
As we started building the map of "bucket list" places, we realized we were making progress, but there were huge regions of the State that we had never visited. So, we're targeting different regions(Big Bend, Panhandle) but, as with much of Texas, the issue is that once you've been somewhere, you probably want to go back.
I'm tracking our major routes across the State, to show many of our destinations, as well as to see what areas we've missed so far. I'm also trying to switch to the back roads instead of just the Interstates when we travel. There are still a lot of large areas we haven't even driven through.
