The Regency Bridge is the last suspension bridge in Texas that is open to automotive traffic. It is probably best known as one of the sites in the opening sequence of Texas Country Reporter. It connects Mills and San Saba Counties across the Colorado River.
I don't remember how I discovered it was within easy reach of Brownwood, where we were planning to stay for a long weekend.
I neglected to mention that it connects two gravel roads, is a one-lane bridge, is wooden and had fallen down twice before. This meant we could visit.
We don't have drones or helicopters, so we don't have a video of us driving across the bridge. We have video from the car as we drove across.
